PHIL SINNOCK
president

Phil is a proud 4th generation plumber, who graduated from the Apprenticeship Plumber Program at SAIT Technical College in Calgary, Alberta, and is a Journeyman Plumber and Gasfitter.  He holds a Cross Connection Control Specialist Certificate and is a Licensed City of Winnipeg Plumbing Contractor. He’s been working in the industry for over 20 years and brings a wealth of knowledge from the many different projects he’s worked in over the years. When he can find time away from the phone, he enjoys learning new ways to smoke meat, he has a passion for scuba diving and coaching his son’s hockey team, and loves to mess around with his water, snow and off-roading toys at the lake.

Office Staff

KAYLA DOWNEy
OFFICE MANAGER

Kayla has a Business Admin background, and comes to us after working as a Legal Assistant and a Customer Service Rep in the automotive industry. She is responsible for the day to day scheduling of our crew as well as helping us keep our office running smoothly. In her spare time, Kayla loves animals and spends time volunteering with animal organizations around Winnipeg, or being involved in one of the many sports her son plays, including baseball.

Matt Glover
estimator & project manager

Matt is a Sheetmetal Journeyman with 10 years experience in the trades. He is mechanical contractor certified with the City of Winnipeg, and enjoys working on complex projects, particularly stainless steel and welded ductwork. Matt runs our special projects division and is well versed in Estimating and Project Management. His free time is spent with his family, his 2 dogs, most recent cat rescue, and an abundance of fish and lizards. He’s also a hair flipping champion, we have billboards to prove it.

Plumbing Division

Kolton Marchuk
plumbing lead / senior apprentice

Kolton is a 4th level Plumber with 15 years experience in the plumbing trade and advanced knowledge in water treatment systems. Having worked for many years in general construction, he brings an additional expertise in framing, drywall, carpentry and concrete work. He’s also a diagnostic guru, finding solutions to the most complicated plumbing issues. In his spare time, he’s a gamer which has taken a back seat recently to some major house renovations that he’s take on.

JUSTIN MaYER
4th year plumber apprentice

Justin is a 2nd level Plumber who attended schooling after starting to work with us in 2019. After a period of time away to develop his skills, he has re-joined the team and brings with him a wealth of knowledge in agriculture water treatment systems. Justin is also our resident drain cleaner expert, we think he has X-Ray vision when it comes to finding the source of the blockage. When he’s not unplugging drains, he has a thing for fish - both catching them and caring for them.

Tristen Zorn
3rd year plumbing apprentice

Tristen is a plumbing apprentice with 6 years experience in concrete and general handyman work. He loves learning new things and has a passion for playing and producing music. An avid fishermen, Tristen will never turn down an invite to any cabin for the weekend - summer or winter! He’s also a Nickleback fan which we kinda hold against him, but keep hm around anyway. To keep active, he plays in a recreational soccer league, scoring more goals than anyone else could.

Tim Lasko
Plumbing apprentice

Tim holds a masters degree in being awesome (or so he tells us). He’s got 1 year of carpentry experience under his belt, prior to 5 years working in the plumbing field. He would fit right in if he lived in the deep south, as his favourite three things are hunting, fishing, and Jesus. But he just loves hockey too much to leave.

Ryan hallett
Plumbing apprentice

Ryan is a service plumber who loves to diagnose a tough problem. However his favourite work task is delivering baskets as the Not-so-Secret Christmas Elf. When not being thrown curveballs at work, he stays pretty active by playing in a men’s basketball league. He loves a good camping adventure, or just hanging out with friends and family.

After honing in his skills as a powersports technician and working in the automotive industry, Jalen came to Legacy looking for something new. He’s learning the ropes quickly, always looking for something complicated to dive into. His love for powersports keeps him busy outside of work, off-roading at his family cabin.

Vincent just started with us, and we don’t know enough about him yet. But when we do, we will let you know what he’s like. He seems like a really cool guy!

 
 
 

HVAC Division

EVAN GREGORY
hvac lead

Evan is a very enthusiastic and knowledgeable member of the team who’s been working with us since he was in High School. He has become a whiz for large rooftop units, and enjoys any and all challenges. Currently a 4th level HVAC tech, he now leads our HVAC department, training new staff and quoting all our HVAC jobs. In any spare time he has (which is rare!) he enjoys snowmobiling, dirt biking, and spending time with his family at the lake. He is also responsible for giving the dog we rescued from a dumpster a home - Kawasaki has kept him busy ever since!

Kevin Le
hvac apprentice

Kevin joined us after completing Pre-Employment HVAC at Red River College, and has quickly grown his knowledge working with the team. He’s our residential A/C expert who has a background in construction. Kevin also has impressive fishing skills and uses his fish whispering abilities anytime he can (ask him about his methods of catching fish on a paddleboard!). He spends his time camping during the weekends, and reading a good book during the week. He has no pets, but has adopted all the shop animals as his own.

SETH GREGORY
HVAC HELPER

Seth shares a last name with our HVAC Lead Technician - they also share the same parents (we’re collecting all members of the Gregory family). After a year at University training to be a mechanical engineer, Seth decided to learn by doing and switched his backpack out for a Milwaukee tool bag. When not getting hands-on training, you can find him out dirt biking with family - always going the correct direction on one way tracks!

MATHEW CLARKE
HVAC HELPER

Mathew was a high school placement student with us for the 2024-2025 school year and has stuck around to learn more about the HVAC industry this summer. He was a young entrepreneur who started his own snow shovelling business when he was a kid - ask him about his shovel collection! He comes from a big family - 3 brothers, 1 sister, 2 dogs (Penny and Kira) and 2 cats (Meiha and Charles).

Trevor parrish
sheet metal apprentice

Trevor was a student studying to be a Civil Engineering Technologist in a previous life when he left to do more hands on work. He currently works with our sheet metal team, which makes his experience in framing and roofing come in handy. He’s a big fan of hockey and football and spends a lot of his spare time working out, with his dog Lily, or flying out to BC to spend time with his girlfriend who’s a very talented pastry chef!

AIDiN STEFANOWICH

Aidan works in our sheet metal division and has 6 years experience with sheet metal installs. In a previous life, Aidin was an experienced granite & quartz countertop installer. In his spare time, he’s a very active sports enthusiast who enjoys snowboarding, skateboarding, rollerblading and swimming. The newest father in the group, Aidin is getting to know the ins-and-outs of sleepless nights and cleaning bottles.

Jaiden Beam
Sheet metal apprentice

Jaiden has been living next door to Phil since he was 8 years old - it was only a matter of time before he joined the Legacy team! After spending some time in the industry learning the trade, he joined us for the free ride to work each day. It seems to have worked out both ways as he’s never late to work! He’s a health nut, spending lots of his spare time prepping meals and working out. He also owns a clothing brand that has made an appearance around the shop once or twice!

Jordan was also a high school placement student for the 2024-2025 school year, who has joined us for the summer. In addition to not wearing a clean shirt for picture day, he also didn’t fill out his paperwork and we will have to get back to you with some neat facts on him!
